EURASIAN WATERMILFOIL INVASION REQUIRES CHEMICAL TREATMENT
IN MAY 2020
Lake Helen has been dealing with the spread of an invasive plant known as Eurasian Watermilfoil since 2008. A chemical treatment was done in 2014 and we have been manually pulling plants since then. Last summer we found that the plants were spreading too much and our manual pulling efforts were not keeping up with the spreading. As a result we worked with the DNR and it was determined that another chemical treatment was warranted and was the best action to be taken at this time. On this page you will find the details about the treatment and the chemical being used.
